Was it expensive? What areas did you have done? Did it grow back or was it gone the first time. I am thinking about the procedure in the bikini area. I usually get a brazilian wax and I would like to just remove the hair permentantly.

I recently took my daughter for a free consultation.
They said its a bit uncomfortable but I can’t imagine it being worse than a wax. LOL
They said that it will take a few treatments. Depending on your area and how much they have to remove. I’m sure if you call a local derma spa they would also have free consultations so that you can get a better idea of how much it would cost for you.
Where I was it was about $100 per visit and if you bought a few visits up front then it was cheaper.
The lady also said that she did her underarms and that she only had a few straggly hairs that were being obstinate. So.. I think its a good option for the bikini area. They said it will only work on dark hair which I did not know before this consultation. It doesn’t work on “light hairs” and what you think is dark isn’t necessarily dark to their standards for the laser.
My friend did. She is VERY hairy, almost ape like. She did it on her side burns (no exaggeration) and beard. I think it cost her $2000 but it worked. She is also black which means very thick hair prone to ingrowing and it hasn’t come back and she didn’t have ingrowns.
I am currently having it done now on my bikini area. It is a little uncomfortable. It takes about three or four treatments for the hair to be completely gone. I have no idea about the cost. My cousin is a doctor and is doing it free for family members. It will definitely be worth it when I finish.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
