I’ve had boils on my bum since I was about 10 years old. I never gave them much attention, I just figured they were like acne and would go away eventually.
Since I was so young and embarrassed I didn’t tell my mom and just lived with it. When I was 16, I had gastroentorocolitis and was very sick for 3 weeks.
During that time, I became very very week and ended up with pneumonia caused by MRSA. I suspect I always carried it with me.
I was treated with Vancomicyn for 2 weeks at the hospital. I got well again, but a few months after it, the boils kept coming back. I went to the dermatologist and told him my story. She examined and prescribed mupirocin 2 x a day for 2 weeks.
It pretty much cleared off, only an occasional boil once in a while, but nothing too painful or unbearable.
The funny thing is that nobody in my house has ever gotten a boil, or any of my friends. I practice good hygiene, and it looks like I’m the only one who suffers with this.
For like 6 months, it disappeared.
2 weeks ago, a boil on my bum showed up. I applied mupirocin on it 2 x a day for a week and it disappeared. But 2 days ago another one, popped up on the front part of my ******.
Those are the only parts it shows up : buttocks and crotch ******.
Areas rich in hair follicles and that end up sweating and heating.
Since bacteria needs heat and moisture to reproduce, and a boil is when a hair follicle gets infected, wouldn’t laser hair removal help?
It destroys the hair follicle, so the bacteria would be on the skin and not be able to infect the follicle.
Could laser removal help me?
Please anyone, help me. I’m so depressed. I’m exhausted of this on going battle, I don’t even want to live anymore.
